Hullo everybody! Hope you're enjoying summer. I know I am and all these 76 degrees Fahrenheit days ah! Typical San Diego summer. Anyways, here's the latest from Adventures on Rails.
- First off, That's What Friends Are for has been released! Enjoy reading it and feel free to leave back feedback if you'd like.
- Continuing on the subject of the short, I have now integrated Ryan and the Harwick Branch Line into my series. Now, as Daisy has transferred there and that puts more work on Thomas's Branch Line. So, this leads us right to my next short.
- Work and Play ("draft" title, of course) is the next short due for release in 2019. I am not sure when but it could be as early as January but the latest it would be is June. Recently, through the TTTE Wikia, I am across a very intriguing story about a Hunslet saddle tank engine, similar to Wilbert. I won't reveal too much but the engine's name was Jessie and how she was preserved in a rather unusual way as you'll soon find out. I realised that That's What Friends Are for could pave the way for the need of another engine which is why the Fat Controller brings in Wilbert in the Railway Series. Unfortunately, Christopher Awdry never got the chance to bring in the Austerity Engine. Jessie is the engine the Fat Controller brings in and she has a very interesting story to say the least.
- One of the things I might do for Work and Play is format it in a Railway Series book style with four stories compromising the entire short. It's a possibility I'm considering as of now.
